WE JUST KEEP ON LEARNING NEW THINGS!

What a suprise when I saw the my hair burning onto the curling iron! It helps to check to see if the appliance is compatable with their voltage. So the end result is I've begun to wear my hair straight since we've been here. Less time getting ready in the morning.

What would I do without Sabine, our relocation specialist? She has helped with obtaining train tickets to Paris, writing checks in French, locating the post office, translating for us at the bank and helping us find a local church. Sabine has been invaluable to us in our relocation here in Vannes.
Meghan has started to gain her independence here more so than even in the states. She walked to the local market one block away to pick up a few things. Meghan likes to volunteer to go there for me whenever I need something because they have CANDY! The fruits and vegetables are so fresh here. I can't believe how great the strawberries taste.
Dave is looking forward to seeing the final stage of the Tour De France in two weekends in Paris! We purchased the train tickets today. It's hard to believe we can be in Paris in three hours by train. He says there is plenty to do at work and is getting settled in just fine. All the management team must speak English so the language is not a problem for him at work. Meghan and I struggle more because most of the people we deal with at the grocery, market, post office, ect., speak very little English.
Last night we could not figure out the heating directions on the lasagna so I went next door to the neighbors to seek help. They spoke no English but tried their hardest to help me. I have since found out that 6 on the package meant 180 c. By the way, the lasagna was great!
