We are in France!!! We are so excited about this new venture in our life. Susie survived the nine hour plane ride. Thanks to all our great friends and family for your prayers for our safety. We met the orther American family today, the Shenks. Heidi took me to the grocery store and oriented me to the new foods and packaging in France. I have so much to learn, but again I'm so excited. Each day will be a new learning experience. Luckily, Sabine, our relocation specialist has helped us the last two days with all the details of car rental, banking, and apartment settling in. The desserts here look as good as they taste. Meghan and I ventured out to find the bakery to find bread for dinner. We were successful and yes their bread is delicious. We better do alot of walking and excercising or you won't recognize us when we return.
Yesterday after arriving on our second train from Paris, the French porter gave us a scolding for all the luggage that blocked the door. By the time we got on, all the luggage spaces were filled. We weren't sure what he wanted us to do about it since we had already arrived and were off the train with our luggage on the walk. He walked away and came back and started in again. We gave him the innocent American look and went on our way.
