GOD CONTINUES TO BLESS OUR LIFE IN VANNES

As I was out running/walking this week, I was able to capture this photo. Now what is the chance of the boat coming in just as the baloons are hovering above. Thanks God, for this beautiful scene!
Taking a new trail back, I came across this statue of Jesus' crucifixion. The signage was in French and not having my French dictionary I was not sure why it was there at this spot.
The guide book lists it as "Calvaire de Kerino". Plan to do some research on this one.

A view looking back toward the city of Vannes. The trail goes along both sides of the water.
Meghan and her new friends, Solene and Auriane, at the riding stables. Meghan has always wanted to learn to ride and the opportunity presented itself, so in the fall she and Solene will take lessons after school on Tuesday. Auriane, her sister, is in the advanced classes and has been riding for several years.
My new friend who speaks English!! Anne Elizabeth, who is French but speaks very good English, heard through a friend of a friend that we were new here and that we had a daughter wanting to meet some friends. She has taken us under her wing and made us feel so welcomed. She is sharing some of her rosemary her for me to take home and use on the porkchops we are grilling for dinner. I had NEVER seen rosemary that large. As you can see it is taller than Elizabeth. Their whole family left today for two weeks in the Alps. We will miss them while they are gone.

Susie,

You are doing a wonderful job keeping a beautiful memory of your adventure in France.
Thank you for keeping this journal. It makes me feel a little less lonely without my next door neighbors.

The photos are great. I feel like I'm on a vacation every time I read your blog and see your pictures.

I think I would jog or walk everyday if I had those lovely trails to explore. Vannes, France is breathtakingly beautiful.

Meghan, I have always wanted to learn how to ride horses. I always wonder if I will be able to stay on my horse when the army of raptured believers follow Jesus from Heaven to Earth for His Glorious Appearing after the tribulation period. :)

Carol is a blessing in my life. She came over this week for a short visit and time of prayer.

I'm sure you are getting lots of e-mails, even if few of us comment on your blog site.

Missing all of you; Much love,
MJ

Oh Susie, I love seeing you, and Meghan, and Dave in lovely France. It's so much better than the 4 years of French I took in jr. high/high school. Perhaps you'll want to visit some of the IPS schools upon your return and share your experience with they youngsters taking the classes. I'm sure it'll inspire them to study a little harder, and remember a little more (I personally know more Spanish than French these days).

Thanks for the wonderful pics. and blurbs about your daily life. Don't you wish the Irv. farmers market was daily or atleast twice a week. I'd love to eat fresh more often than I do.

Looking forward to more excitement from the Garriott's.

Susie, Dave, and Meghan,

What beautiful pictures! What wonderful people you are meeting! I am so excited for you. I love the concept of walking to the market, buying fresh food, and running/walking by the water.

The buildings are awesome too. I can imagine that it would be difficult to keep up with those old, large homes.

Thanks so much for telling us your story via this blog.
Love,
Lisa
