WINTER IS UPON US

As we walked home from church today, I realized how much I am missing the flowers that had been an everyday reality up until about two months ago. Dave gets credit for this picture; capturing the color along with the interesting windows. Last night the sunset was breath taking! The combination of pink and blue colors gave us a little taste of heaven. While cooking dinner, Dave happened to look out the window at just the right time to make me aware of this photo opportunity.

At the Saturday open air market, Dave and I happened upon this scene of typical elegant French women in front of these colorful tutus. How could I resist this picture.

Even though the temperature was only in the high 20's yesterday, the market was still the happening place to be. I was curious about the attendance in the winter months, but as you can see the market still thrives in cooler temperatures.

Yes it does get cold in Vannes! This week ice actually formed on the water and along the channel leading to the port. This is very untypical for this area. Everyone is talking about how cold it is and we tell them they don't even know what COLD is!

Anne-Elisabeth giving Up Lady some loving! Each year the new foals are named with the next letter of the alphabet with this year being U. Up Lady is eight months old and was named in anticipation that she would be a great jumper some day.

King Kong and Meghan had a great ride together on Tuesday. He really liked the scarf Meghan received for Christmas.
