DO ALL AMERICANS OWN A GUN?

When you drop off your cleaning you prepay and then receive a ticket with a number that corresponds with your cleaning order. To pick up your cleaning, you don't even speak to a employee, you simply scan your ticket and your cleaning order arrives in the window ready to go. I love this concept and I think Deering Cleaners will too!
Last night on our walk Dave captured this simple narrow cobblestone street of the
old city. Dave and I just love to go walking in this part of town because we are always exploring a new building or a side street we didn't know was there.
Today I was invited to speak to a class of high school students to talk about life in America. I asked the students about their perception of the U.S. Some answers I received is that there is a killing on every street corner and that we only care about the U.S. and we are not that informed of what goes on outside America. Then I asked, "How is your perception of America been formed"? Since no one had actually been to America most of the students said they learned about the U.S. from movies. If only more movie producers cared about the impact our movies have on the whole world.

Do you think I could bring this cello home on the plane with me? I was surprised it was just sitting on the sidewalk in front of the music store. We would probably not see that back home or if we did it would probably be locked to the pole.

It was our English speaking afternoon but not without French desserts, French coffee and tea. They refer to their coffee as strong enough to wake the dead. Every two weeks a group of about 8 to 10 French people gather at one of their homes to work on their English skills. Heidi and I and an English man help them with pronunciation, grammar and definitions. One of the ladies kindly told me she has a hard time understanding my English. It must be that southern nasal sound and the rapid speed in which I talk. Being one of nine you learned to talk fast to get what you wanted.

PSALM 139:23-24 The psalmist wrote, "Search me, O god, and know my heart:try me, and .... see if there be any wicked in me."
