BIKING WITH THE BRITTANY BABES

My friend Linda arrived from Indianapolis on Saturday, Oct. 4th and we have been busy cycling and seeing much of the gulf and countryside. Wow, two weeks in a row with guests from the U.S. that speak all ENGLISH. It is great to have her here and I enjoy showing her many of the sights she has been reading about on our blog. On Monday, Linda and I joined the bike group to cycle to Beatrice Aliamus' studio in Ploeren, north of Vannes. Beatrice is an amazing artist and most of her beautiful paintings are of the area.
The morning started off with light showers but within minutes the sun came out and we had a pleasant sunny ride.

On the way out of town, I just had to stop to take this picture of this perfectly manicured colorful yard. I just hope you are enjoying the flower pictures as much as I enjoy showing them to you. As Linda and I were nearing the end of the morning's ride, Christinia (the woman in the front row on the left in the first photo) invited us to her home for lunch. She lives in Arradon which is about 6k from Vannes. We had a wonderful time visiting with her. Christina's husband, a GP in a nearby town, used to be a military doctor taking them to many different countries. She is a lovely woman who keeps busy with a bed and breakfast and gardening. Are there any hydrangeas still looking this lovely at home? Just so you know I have not totally forgotten my roots - click on the picture and check out my socks!
As we were leaving Christina's home to cycle back to Vannes after an enjoyable lunch, we stopped to admire her flower gardens.

AND DAVE WENT TO WORK.......
AND MEGHAN WENT TO SCHOOL.......

Mortals... look on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart. 1Samuel 16:7
