LOTS OF SUN AND FUN IN THE NORTH OF FRANCE!

Last weekend we headed north with St. Malo being our first place to visit and explore. Upon entering the city we saw these bikes on the roundabout. As Dave circled the roundabout I jumped out to take this photo. If you click on the photo, you will get a closer view. Cycling is just a part of life here in France.
Entering the historical part of the city, we were welcomed by this enourmous sail boat. taking a closer look we noticed the sign below explaining it had been built for the purpose of enabling disabled and able bodied people to sail on equal terms on voyages of about one week's duration. What a wonderful experience you wouldn't soon forget.
The boat's name is TENACIOUS! Very fitting for this massive boat.
Speaking of tenacious, I think these people were a little more brave than I am. They were getting a real live look at what it would be like to sail TENACIOUS.

Dave and his mom stop to take a look at the harbor. She will not let me tell her age, but she kept right up with us the whole three day weekend. I think her workouts at the YMCA and her morning excercises are paying off. Dave is proudly wearing his birthday present, a new Kentucky jacket his mom brought from the states.
