SNOW IN VANNES
We woke up to a snow dusting today here in France. It was actually around 20F which is about the coldest it has been here. I can honestly say I have never seen snow on a palm tree before now. This photo was taken from our terrace on the fourth floor. Meghan said the new snow on the streets and trees was very pretty as she walked to school. Since most employees do not start work until 8:30 or 9 a.m. and she walks to school at 7:30 a.m., the streets were still freshly covered. She said it was beautiful!
Dave and I have been going for walks after work to get some exercise. He has been giving me instructions on how to use my camera including how to hold the camera steady to get these night shots. As many of you know, I am mechanically challenged. Being in France has given me the desire to learn more about photography which I hope to do when we return.
These are the ramparts or the original walls of the city illuminated at night. When the weather warms a little they will be changing the flower gardens into spring flowers. Can't wait to see the color display!
