Our Monday bike group decided to walk today instead of ride because of the cold weather. For all of you who have been jealous of our weather, we actually had a few snow flurries this afternoon, a very rare occasion. I rode my bike to the mall to get some pictures developed and it was 29F. So it does get cold here. Apparently other parts of France and England are being hit with the
worst snow in 18 years.

Some of the views we saw during our two hour walk. We were blessed with blue skies and no wind this morning, a perfect day to walk. I actually got a good workout in because every time I would stop to take a picture I would have to run to catch up with the group.

Christina, Catherine, Ghislaine and Nadine stop for a photo along the gulf. My goal is to compile all the pictures into a book for the group to have as a souvenir.

Catherine and Ghislaine take a break in the hay barn on Nadine's farm.

Our walk today started from Nadine's 17th century house which has been added on to several times over the years.

In the foreground you can see the old well that was used back in the 17th century. So glad we can just turn on the faucet and not have to boil the water for a bath.

Forgot the name of this purple flowering bush. Anyone know?

The mimosa trees are now in full bloom The yellow flowering tree against the blue sky and green grass was a beautiful sight to see along the walk this morning.
Meghan's update: Her school has a group of Irish students visiting this week so she was very excited to meet some new English speaking students. One of the Irish girls introduced Meghan to one of her Irish classmates who asked how Meghan was able to speak such good English. Her Irish friend told her she was from Indiana. The Irish girl was still confused and proceeded to ask "So how did she learn her English?" Her friend emphatically answered, "In America!!!" If I was 12 and lived in Ireland I probably wouldn't know where Indiana was either.
AND DAVE WENT TO WORK AGAIN.............
Keep watching for the sign contest winners. To be announced soon!!!

In Kentucky the Mimosa trees don't bloom until May, June or July and they have a more pink than yellow bloom! Also, they are considered a "junk" tree--come up everywhere and a weak wood tree. But their fragance is wonderful! Even the worse plant has some redeeming features. Just like people.
Susie, that's a lilac bush--the purple flowering one... I think. Once again, your pictures are outstanding. I loved the one with friends and shadows on the hay bales. Very artsy!
