FUN AT THE BEACH WITH THE SHENKS

We spent an afternoon with the Shenks from Batesville. They are here on a three year assignment with Hill-Rom and speak French quite well after being here just a year.
Meghan and Tabitha are in the same grade at the college but in different rooms. The Shenk kids love to read and Meghan is enjoying reading more in France since T.V. is so limited here. Mom is O.K. with the limited T.V.!
Left to right: Calvin, Tabitha, Meghan and Max.
Quincy and Calvin play toss on the beach. The weather was not warm enough for swimming so the kids just enjoyed playing together. Heidi and I enjoyed relaxing and catching up with each other's vacation. They left for the summer two days after we arrived so it was baptism by fire.
Max the youngest, loves to climb and is full of energy. I think I may have been like him at that age.

Hey guys!!! It's Lauren...Lauren Garriott not the other one haha! I just looked at your blog today for the first time. I went through everyday and looked at the pics and read a lot of the posts. France sounds absolutely amazing and is soooo beautiful!! Vannes is gorgeous and seems to have that little charm. I have always loved those kind of places with the local market and walking distance to everything. it is so simple and cute and not so urban if that makes sense haha!! I just love it!! it looks like you guys are having soo much fun! Meghan, i hope school is going well. Mike, Susie, I am so jealous of the beautiful places you get to ride your bike and jog in!! have fun!! may God be bless your time there!!

Much Love
Lauren
