Some of Dave's co-workers suggested we check out the Celtic Festival on Sunday morning in Lorient, a town about a half hour away. We have decided the French really know how to put on a festival. The parade lasted for almost three hours. We assume that these bands come from all over, even different countries. This festival is BIG! We were told the attendance was about 60,000 people.

Now how would you like to walk all day in these shoes Granmuny?(Dave's mom) The French LOVE their shoes. Meghan fits in well here with her shoe fetish. Now she just has to figure out how to acquire some babysitting jobs here to pay for all those shoes she is wanting to buy.

The crowd was about 6 or 7 rows deep so we stood on a brick wall to view the parade. Meghan and her daddy having a bonding moment!

We were amazed at what lengths people were going to see the parade. A misty rain started around noon but the people in the parade were all prepared with their umbrellas. Dave found out at work they call it a "Brittany rain" when it's a light misty rain.
We have been fortunate because the weather has been low 70's, no humidity and this was the first rain on a weekend.
