TAKING IN THE SIGHTS OF THE SMALLER TOWNS
We had planned on biking as a family on Saturday but the it was overcast and looked like rain in the morning. Instead, we planned a car trip to see all the towns Dave rides his bike through that Meghan and I had not yet seen. I have not convinced him to slow down while he is riding to capture the beautiful countryside.
Plougoumelen, the first little town we visited. You don't see alot of color in the buildings here, mostly stone, so this building really caught our eye.
We ventured down this dead end road only to be suprised to find a hiking trail. Meghan and Dave having a dad/daughter talk.
The hay fields with their harvested bales remind me alot of home. We have also seen corn fields but no corn at the market yet. It may not be the corn we eat. This is looking down on the gulf during low tide. It amazes me how different the same area can look depending on if it is low or hide tide.
On our walk on the trail I came upon this view through the trees. Love to stumble upon these hidden secrets!
The hydrangeas here are still going strong. I was told the flowers still look nice up through October because they love the wet cool weather. I know by August, mine at home are starting to look a little tired.
