COURIR,

As I was out for my run/walk along the harbour and gulf yesterday, I RAN INTO about 200 marines out for their training run. I assume that the guys in the green tanks were the new recruits since they were running in their long pants and boots. Marine is spelled the same in English and French.
The tide came up at 8:05 a.m. so I was able to see more birds and wildlife than usual. This area is really pretty when the tide is up.
Meghan and I took our first bike ride to Ile De Conleau on Monday. The temperature was in the low 70's so we decided to watch the swimmers and have ice cream instead. We are hoping for some good old hot Indiana weather to go swimming.
On Tuesday we decided to go for the indoor pool which is about a 20 minute bike ride away. The pool has a slide, diving pool, and lap pool. Meghan is now able to ride my mountain bike and she carried the gear on this bike since it has a rack to hold the panniers. She saw alot of people pointing to her helmet (with the dog attached) and smiling!

Hey Susie,

So glad you're continuing to run! I've been in Hilton Head for the week and have run the last 4 mornings. It's so different running on the beach. You can go for miles continuously without having to worry about cars, bicyclists sneaking by you, etc. Love to listen to nature, see all of the people, pets, shells, etc.

I didn't get on the computer for a couple of days, but I'm compulsed with your blog like the many others reading it. It continues to be so much fun to see everything you are seeing and doing. Glad you are having so much fun, and finding so many interesting things to do and see.
Keep running- Your running buddy, Cindy
