Meghan's dream comes true, horseback riding lessons. So this move to France hasn't been all bad, has it Meghan? We learned of the riding stables through Heidi S. who has been here a year now and a great resource. Meghan learns that riding is work too!

Auriane takes lessons too but is in the advanced class. She has been riding for about 5 years now and is quite good. Solene, her sister is in the beginning class with Meghan.

Auriane was a great help today in teaching Meghan how to groom Coca and how to get him ready to ride.

My very good friend, Anne-Elisabeth,the mother of Solene and Auriane, who is also very fond of horses helps Meghan with the final adjustments. Coca is now ready to ride.

Solene, Meghan and the others get instructions from their teacher who speaks some English. He told Meghan if she would speak what French she knew, he would speak any English he knew. Every once in awhile he would check in with the parents for an interpretation. All in all the girls had a fun first lesson.

Well gang, it truly looks like you are having the time of your life! It is truly a gift from God to wake up to those beautiful views everyday. What a pleasure. Meghan, I hope you have fun learning to ride, just let me know where to get the great riding boots! So, do you have to talk to your horse in French? Dave, if you take that little ride again, take more pix of the road art! love to all,amy
