MEGHAN IS IN HEAVEN!

Linda found a flyer at one of the tourist centers about a candy factory. Guess who was excited about that possibility? Would her name happen to begin with M? We figured she had been very cooperative about visiting the sites we wanted to see and since there would be no trick or treating in France we went to Uzes to the Haribo candy museum. Arriving an hour before closing time, Dave and Meghan purchased tickets to learn how Meghan's favorite French candy is made.
As for Haribo, it wasn't until 1920 that they made their first appearance. The brand name of three syllables came directly from its founder, Hans Riegel and his native town of Bonn. He made his first sweet treats in his laundry room while his wife delivered them on her bicycle.
On the road again the next day, we visited the town of St. Quentin La Poterie, famous for their pottery. It was a rainy day so we enjoyed looking at various pottery shops in this beautiful village. The buildings and even the tiled streets told us this was a town filled with creative people.

How much is that KITTY in the window?

Since we arrived in France, I have been wanting to take a picture to show how the mail is delivered. This delivery woman was all smiles, even in the rain! Our mail is delivered by bicycle but this lady was lucky and had a motor on her bike.

Just loved all the colors of the buildings, windows and flowers in this art filled little community.

Dave DID NOT go to work today (Armistice Day) but Meghan did have school.
Colossians 3: 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
